Started on my first canoe paddle after a lot of research. This will be laminated from several different woods. This will be a 57" paddle, 30" shaft, otter-tail style blade.
I got blade patterns from this site:

I made scaled cad drawings from the offsets using the script command to run a .scr file containing the spline command and the x/y coordinates. Emaiol me if you want these drawings.

Restoration of a pair of old paddles.
Original condition
A couple hours work on the shaving horse. 60,80,100 grit sanding.
Stained, Minwax English Chestnut. Marine varnish tomorrow hopefully
